Yes, well done guys - and thanks for all the hard work.

As will I.

Quick question. If I follow the old "Alpha" install method (downloading the script tarball etc) will I end up at the same point as using the DVD for a Beta build?

3 reasons...

1) Previous experience with torrents suggests it may take some time to aquire the iso.
2) I already have Kubuntu installed and was about to run the install when I spotted the good news.
3) I want to tweak one of the scripts so I end up with a dedicated core, not a hybrid.

Gratz.  Grin
After reading the news it looks as if the beta is available with the latest installer file.

From the main web page Peer Oliver Schmidt wrote, "People with existing alpha installs are free to just apt-get update and upgrade to get the latest and greatest packages. However, if you experience difficulties, please do a fresh install, to verify the problem has nothing to do with older stuff still laying around."

I would guess by installing/updating Kubuntu 0810 first then downloading/running the installer, for a fresh install, as we have done with the alpha.

Gratz guys.

Although I haven't been around for previous releases I get the distinct impression that this one was particularly challenging.

A big thank you from myself and the rest of the community I'm sure for all of your hard work.
