Orbiter on Windows 98
« on: September 19, 2009, 04:13:13 pm »
Good morning,

I just got a minimal system setup and have been enjoying playing with it as part of it all I was hoping to use an old iopener i had as an oribiter but it does not seem to display any of the dynamic text such as album titles. I was wondering if there was anything I need to do manually as I just downloaded and installed from my core. It works just fine on my XP machine though. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks
Greg Griffith

Hi,

Sorry, just to clarify...

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/What%27s_an_Orbiter

are you talking about web orbiter...

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Web_Orbiter

or using a Windows device as an oribiter...

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Control_LinuxMCE_using_a_Windows_device_as_an_Orbiter

and if you are using 810 you need minimum 2.32 alpha.

I tried the same thing a couple years ago with the same results.
I can tell you that it is a font issue, but I was never able to resolve it.
