Re: Dianemo S - Support for Sony IP controllable BluRay Players & TV's added
« Reply #315 on: September 13, 2012, 09:11:28 pm »
I did a port scan with the player on and I see ports 50001 and 50002 open not 22222 and 54400.
Code: [Select]
Nmap scan report for 192.168.80.159
Host is up (0.00049s latency).
Not shown: 998 closed ports
PORT      STATE SERVICE
50001/tcp open  unknown
50002/tcp open  iiimsf
MAC Address: 54:53:ED:DA:51:00 (Unknown)

That's actually good. Put the IP address and MAC address in the device's fields in web admin, reload, and try again while the player is on.

It's quite interesting, as now I did a port scan on that same IP and came up with the ports I reported earlier. I assume the player is off now. But that also means the network doesn't go off, but goes into some mode I haven't seen before. For both of the ports I mentioned, when I try an HTTP connection I get a UPnP-like envelope back with an error - that's how I know it's your blu-ray player and not something else.

Edit: I just realised that this didn't work last time either, which makes it really interesting. I'd like to look at the UPnP services on your player while it's on. What time will you be available at home?

When I port scan the unit when it's off I see no ports open.

Code: [Select]
dcerouter_31461:~# nmap 192.168.80.159

Starting Nmap 5.21 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2012-09-13 15:32 EDT
Nmap scan report for 192.168.80.159
Host is up (0.0015s latency).
All 1000 scanned ports on 192.168.80.159 are closed
MAC Address: 54:53:ED:DA:51:00 (Unknown)

I was looking for a reason to leave work early tomorrow anyway... sooo, thank you!  I should be able to make it home by 11:00 Am my time I believe that's 4:00PM your time... correct?   does that work for you? How will we do this just turn the blu-ray on at 11:00AM, do you want me to email you, how do you want to coordinate this?

Thanks

Don't really know your time zone, and I'm on my mobile phone right now and unable to check, but 4pm sounds OK.

Dianemo S - Support for Remotec ZXT-110 ZWave to IR Air Conditioner Controller
« Reply #318 on: September 20, 2012, 06:14:34 pm »
We are now supporting the Remotec ZXT-110 ZWave-IR A/C controller (http://www.remotec.com.hk/zaspx/default.aspx). You can control a wide range of in-wall packaged A/C units with this ZWave interface (the ZXT-110 has 100's of A/C IR code sets in its DB). The current template supports ON/OFF, TEMP UP/DOWN

Just Include the ZXT-110 into your ZWave network and it will be added as a child device under the Zwave Climate interface section of the devices tree. See the wiki page for details of ZWave config & setup; http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Dianemo_S#ZWave_Devices

Dianemo S - Wiki update
« Reply #320 on: October 05, 2012, 06:54:07 pm »
Please note we've updated the Wiki section on configuring HDMI Audio for nVidia Cards with on-board sounds cards;

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Dianemo_S#Configuring_HDMI_Audio_for_nVidia_Video_Cards_with_on-board_Sound_cards

If you have MM's with this type of nVidia card please read this section and carry out the fix. Currently this needs to be applied manually & individually to each MM that's affected.

A Request - Posts to this thread
« Reply #322 on: October 23, 2012, 02:02:16 pm »
I'd like to reserve this thread for postings about new features, updates & releases of Dianemo S and also for questions relating to those. If you have a technical support question relating to how to configure your Dianemo S installation or any other related support question can you please post it to the relevant section of the forum rather than here please;

  • Users
  • Installation Issues

Please make it clear in your Thread Title that it is related to Dianemo.

We do monitor the above Forum sections (and most of the other sections too!) so we will see your post and will respond asap. If for some reason you do not get a response within a day or so then please IM me here to give me a 'prod' ;-)

Thanks for taking the above on-board.

All the best

Andrew

Dianemo S - Support for the RTI AD-4 Audio Distribution System
« Reply #323 on: October 24, 2012, 12:58:55 pm »
We are currently adding support for the RTI AD-4 Audio Distribution System to Dianemo S. The AD-4 is a compact 4x source, 4x stereo zone 1u shelf or rack mount zone Amp with and integrated audio matrix & rs232 control. It supports in-room local input wall plates (useful if you need to get an in-room source back to the central rack) and other standard RTI peripherals. As part of an installation the AD-4 would deliver the Stereo Audio sound capability in up to 4x stereo zones with Dianemo providing the control UI via Orbiters and all of the standard zone/room logic that you might expect from any Dianemo installation.

RTI AD-4 support will be released in an update in early Nov 2012.

All the best

« Reply #324 on: October 24, 2012, 03:02:45 pm »
We have added a new Dianemo S Wiki page section on Configuring & using a DSC-8 Controller (our in-house developed control interface for SystemLine Modular's audio distribution system). We plan to expand this whole section a lot in the coming weeks so if this type, of 3rd party audio system is something you might be thinking about for your system then please drop back regularly to the Wiki to keep updated;

If your an iTunes user who uses iTunes playlists a lot then you are going to really love this update!

We recently added support for accessing your iTunes playlists from the Dianemo Orbiter. This requires that your iTunes library, or libraries, be hosted on a storage system that your NC can access ie a local Hard Drive or remote hard drive in a NAS or PC share on the LAN. You then point your iTunes PC's/Mac's at the LAN based location of your iTunes library so that you can still purchase & rip new content to it and access it just like you always have. Now however you Dianemo NC can access your iTunes library at the same time and because its hosted on storage that is always present on your LAN that content is always available for playback via your Dianemo system too.

Every 10 minutes your Dianemo system will look for new iTunes playlists and automatically make them available to you on all of your Orbiters - this means that you can enjoy the exact same playlists that you use on your iOS devices on your Dianemo system and they are always available to you at any time. It also means that you can edit, change and create new playlists any time you like in iTunes on your PC or Mac or even on your iOS devices and have them appear on your Dianemo Orbiters just a few minutes later.

Having a party or a BBQ? Just use iTunes to create a great new play list and know that moments later it will be available house wide via Dianemo too. If you know iTunes playlists then you already know how to create play lists for your Dianemo system - its that simple.

Added a wiki section on integrating your Dianemo installation with iTunes... see here; http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Dianemo_S#Using_iTunes_with_your_Dianemo_System

All the best

Announcing - Dianemo Configuration Services
« Reply #326 on: November 02, 2012, 01:55:40 pm »
We're introducing some new services that we think are going to be pretty popular with Forum members based on feedback to date. The services are available at any time to any Dianemo S customer. These services are for anyone who feels like they would prefer to get the basics of their system configured or have us help with getting a specific device working. We still expect most of you will want to put together and configure your own systems - after all that's one of the main reasons your here! But for those of you who would like some assistance we're here to help, either at the beginning or at any point afterwards, if you get stuck or plain run our of time and need to get your system finished or up and working. Don't worry we're still going to help anyone who needs help through the forums and via the Wiki - there will be no 'hard sell' on the services below. But they are there if you need them;

*Note* - While we can often help you inside a few days I would encourage you, if you are considering any of the services below, to please contact us in plenty of time to allow us to schedule time to help you. As the Christmas holidays get closer this is especially true.

Initial Setup - If you want to build your own system but would like some assistance configuring it and setting things up then please ask about our configuration service. For new customers you just need to do the initial install on your chosen hardware then we take over using Dianemo's in-built Remote Assistance service (this allows us to remotely access your system for support purposes - it requires your authoristion of course). This service gets all the basics set up and working for a flat fee of £95 GBP

Device Configuration - If you need some devices added to your system at any time eg a Surround Amplifier with IP/RS232 control, a Home Cinema Projector with IP/RS232 control or any other piece or peripheral equipment then please contact us for a price. Device configuration starts from as little as £75 GBP if its a device we already have a device template for.

Custom Device Templates - If you have a device that you would like to control from your Dianemo system and you would prefer to have us create a device template for it and configure it for you then get in touch. We will quote you a fixed price based on the device complexity.

System Design & Consulting - We provide a custom design service that will take your requirements and convert those into a System cabling/System Diagram together with a written functional design specification. We will suggest/recommend specific hardware and peripherals that we have experience with and that you can then source locally to you at the best local prices. Prices for this service start from as little as £250 GBP for Apartment & basic house systems. Contact us to discuss your needs.

Please IM me here on the Forum if your interested in any of the services above or have any questions about them. Feel free to email me instead if you have my email address.

Dianemo S Telecom Packages Updated
« Reply #328 on: November 27, 2012, 06:06:34 pm »
Just a heads up that we have updated the Telecom packages in the last few days. We've improved and re-instated all of the integration scripts so that as far as we know they are all working now. So if your using or intending to use the Telecom side of the system please run the updater to grab the latest updated packages. Expect a new wiki section on setting up and configuring the Telecom side of the system soon.
