Hello all. Was hoping somebody might know the answer to a problem I'm having.

I was trying to set up a MD on my Dell Inspiron 5150, but it would appear that when I get to the AV wizard, the screen goes blank. I'm not hearing any beeps, what's that about? Anyway, my understanding is that the wizard defaults to VGA, so I should be OK there (I'm not using an secondary display or anything like that). Nevertheless, I have tried pressing numbers 1 - 5 on 5 different reboots -  the most interesting one was pressing 1 (DVI?), which turned the screen pink. The other numbers all did slightly different things, making the screen flicker, etc, but resulted in the screen staying blank.

Any ideas? Cheers.

Purps,

Are you having the problem "Black screen with cursor on MD (0810 alpha 2.28 + updates) "
described at http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=8705.0 ?

Thanks for the reply.

It doesn't sound like it - there is no cursor, and I'm using 0710.
