ADMIN: Splitting topic to save hijacking...

Hi,

very good work Thom.

I with the Italian community (www.linuxmce-it.com), we are working on a black skin ..
here is our idea:
http://digilander.libero.it/rages2/immagini/PNG_ITA/test/testnero.png

I'm changing the skin slate as you have recommended in previous posts.
We must be able to put the text in white, however, and to change the color of the status LED for the lights on-off.

This is SOOO Italian. And I do not mean deprecatingly. I remember the time when I was in charge of the Italian subsidiaries. All offices where styled in that design Smiley

My only suggestion at the moment would be, to maybe try to get the icons and text stand out more from the button background image. atm the reflection bleed into the icons, distracting the user.

Very nice! I like the integration of the Italian flag colours into the LinuxMCE button ;-)

I think the icons could be a little larger but you are doing some very nice work :-)

All the best

Please, for the love of god, turn down the specular reflection on the button, it's distracting and blinding.

Pay attention to how the weak specular reflection is done on Aqua on Mac OS X.

To some extent its a personal thing. I like the originals.... but then again I understand the UI/visibility/distraction thing too... then I am slightly colour blind so perhaps that plays a part too!

Either way there is nothing stopping us having two variations (or more!) to satisfy all camps.... to paraphrase someone - he who does the work makes the rules Smiley

Italian - Matt

I do not know if I understood exactly what you mean ... maybe so but it is a bit more sober, but always effective.
