Hardware Compatibility: Plantronics CS50-USB Wireless Headset
« on: September 02, 2009, 11:01:42 pm »
Hello All,

I'm looking to use my Core to manage incoming/outgoing calls in lieu of the Broadvoice VOIP adapter currently in place. I saw Thom's demo of the Phoenix Solo USB Microphone and the speaker set, which was awesome, but I wanted something I could carry around the whole house. I came across the Plantronics CS50-USB Wireless Headset for VoIP Softphones, but I wanted to be sure that it could be used with LinuxMCE. My question is would I be able to connect this to my core and LinuxMCE just recognize it as a PNP device, or would this require some work on the back-end to make it compatible.

Thanks,

Ern

if the device is recognized by the kernel, I can make a device template for it to configure SimplePhone correctly. It's about 3 hours of work and i'll need the device to test.
