Acer Aspire Revo Desktops

(1/1)

speedyone:
I've heard that the Acer Aspire Revo Desktop may be the next hardware of choice for a LinuxMCE MD. These are currently not available in the U.S. and I've only seen them at "http://www.electronicmegastore.com/acer-aspire-revo-desktop-pc-atom-230-p-3249.html".

I would like to get one of these for use as an MD ,but not sure if it would work in the U.S. on our power grid. Does anyone know any further details on this?

Thanks in advance,

Speedyone

WhateverFits:
Most modern power supplies can automatically switch between different voltages (110-240). This unit appears to have an external power supply. So, worst case, you can replace the supply with one that works in your region. Almost everything I have works in all the countries I travel to. Even my Philip's 42 LCD works in 110-240 volt ranges.

Has anyone seen these in the US?  Either online or in stores?  Thanks!  Rob

The Revo will work fine in the US or pretty much anywhere else too as it has an external international power supply. See this thread for info on a Packard Bell rebadged version that might also be available in the US;
