Questions about Product compatability
« on: July 05, 2009, 12:05:17 am »
Hey there, I am almost ready to release a project I've been working on into the wider world, and while it is not going to initially be LMCE powered, because I'm going to get it working first under Vista (or Win7), as it's easier to begin with, but I definately want to upgrade to LMCE at some point in the not too distant future (12-18 months after initial build). So I have to make sure that everything is compatable as far as possible.
I will be having the following, of which I am not sure about:

* KWorld PlusTV 399U Dual DVB-T USB TV Stick x2
* Asonic 8 ChannelC-media 8768 Chipset Soundcard

And that's about it. As I recall, pretty much any Bluetooth dongle will work, but please correct.

I will post as soon as I release it, but in the meantime, keep a look out at my Blog, where I will post details first. Seriouly, this is good, and will hopefully provide LMCE with something more than I can really say before I've finished it.

Cheers!

Hmmm...well in 18 months time you might just be better off just buying current hardware...the 399U Dual tuner works fine under 0710 & 0810 & 904...if you have a current v4l build and the right firmware. The sound card I'm not so sure about though...

All the best

Andrew

Cheers. What I am doing isn't just a normal set up, it's a full blown Project, tentatively named Project Gordafarie, which I hope will provide a base for LMCE, at least for a certain kind of  user.

Oh, and thanks for the kind worrds about the blog!
