No audio
« on: June 28, 2009, 10:47:01 pm »
sorry for my ignorance, but I am new to linuxmce.

Ok, so I installed Kubuntu 7 10 and then installed Linuxmce as the guide on the wiki said step by step.  Linuxmce comes up just fine, but I have no sound.  I loaded up the KDE desktop and played an audio file and I have sound.

I have an Audio Revolution 7.1 card with just computer speakers plugged into the green audio out port.

please let me know if you need any more info, and any help is appreciated..

Baller, did you hear the test sound ok from the AV wizard during your install?  It might simply be that MCE is directing the audio to the wrong output on your sound card.

No I did not hear the test sound in the AV wizard.  I plugged the speakers into every out put I could and replayed the audio test and got nothing.
