yep I did, to no avail.
But I had some trouble getting commands to the Tricklestar, and in fact the tricklestar was not automatically recognized in any way. I put in the MCV stick after a reset, and this USB interface did get recognized.

I could then transfer the Merten config, and everything works now (fingers crossed).

What is wrong with the Tricklestar, I could not say. I will try to reset it some more times. If it does not work, we have perhaps a problem in the USB stick!

Mark - Update-10 removed auto-detection for the Tricklestar as it is often mis-detected alongside other PL203 based serial devices which causes problems. Just add it manually in Web Admin.

I noted today that not all browsers show really long "code" sections with a scrollbar. My apologies to those readers who had to scroll down several screens to get past my logs  :-[

Hari,

Since yesterday, my zwave stick has not once caused the stack problem that we've discussed before. Same stick, different setup. I did not expect this at all.

Unfortunately, I changed too many things too be exactly sure what makes the difference. The entire Merten config was redone! One of the major differences is that two flakey Merten units were not included this time, because the will have to be reflashed or whatever Merten does to make these guys work again.
