Check out the next generation of OS for the Nokia N8x0's called Mer.  They have it running on the SmartQ5.  Then it should be a simple recompile of the maemo orbiter.

Well we have been looking at the SmartQ5 and we have a SmartQ7 that we are awaiting a new logic board for...so we are a little way along that road ;-)

looks like the ARM9 board to me, build your own S3C2440, about the same price but maybe not so "stylish" Smiley

The N900 looks amazing! IMHO it's better then iPhone. So, the Maemo 5 Orbiter will be built soon Smiley

OK, but 500€ is not very pricy Wink

You can get an Archos 9 that looks very nice for the same price ...

N900 is not just an Internet Tablet. It's mobile phone too. Le't compare it with iPhone and not with Archos 9 Smiley

Yes, if you are looking for a new phone Smiley

but if you are looking for an permanent orbiter, then the N900 is not really as interesting as the N810 (250€).
