Hi,

Is it only me who's having trouble?

When I loaded an early alpha creating a webadmin userid using all lower case I had to go into mysql and reset my password where I discovered that my userid had been created with uppercase for the first character Xxxx.

So knowing that, after reloading alpha 2.15 I logged into webadmin for the first time using Xxxx.  (I was not prompted to create a userid.)

I couldn't access the webadmin page.  I had to go into mysql again and reset the password.  My userid was there from the first time login attempt..

If anyone else has this trouble here's the reset password link for the wiki...

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Reset_the_password_for_the_LinuxMCE_Admin_site

Cheers.

I never ever have been prompted for a password. Not in 0704, not in 0710, and not in 0810.

The user you create during the Setup Wizard (the one with Sarah), is being used as the Login. With username and password being identical. It even says so in the Setup Wizard.

Hi posde,

I wonder then if it's something to do with using Konquerer as the web browser.

It wants to setup that Kwallet thing whenever you go to use Konquerer for the first time, and then you need to supply a password each time you want to open the broswer.

Thanks.

I am not using konquorer, but just verified doing a new install, that username and password is allowed to have all lower case letters without any problems in the web admin

Hi posde,

Thanks for the info...

I'll have to try it again, the next time I re-install, to see what I'm doing wrong.

I had no problems on 710.  So I must be doing something stupid now.

Thanks again.

"With username and password being identical."

Same as every other time I tried after 710 - WTF?

Thanks.
