UI1 MUTE BUTTON DOES NOT WORK
« on: April 09, 2009, 06:17:50 pm »
Hi there

Has anybody got the UI1 Mute button working when playing a video, or is everybody elses working but mine? I have a touchscreen that is works very well but the mute button does not work. I have tried a remote windows orbiter but it's has the same issue, I changed another MD to run UI1 and used a mouse, but still no mute.

most likely the mute command is being sent, however it is either being sent to the wrong device or the device (possibly a sound card) is not accepting the command. How do you control the volume on your set-up? Do you have a reciever/amp, or are you just using the sound card on your pc with some pc speakers?
You can go to a terminal and at the prompt type in

TailDCERouter.sh

hit enter and it will bring up a live log of what commands are being fired and where they are going, if you hit the mute button you should see a command fly for mute.

Does the volume up/down work? You can search the forum and wiki for information on how to fix the volume/mute controls.
