I have a new MD which uses a VIA Rhine II network adapter.  I have created a new MD in the web admin, set it with the VIA's MAC address in the format 00:00:00:00:00:00 and then built the diskless media directors, but the MD will not boot from PXE.

Is this network card a known problem card perhaps, or maybe I have forgotten do perform some vital step?

TIA,
Marcus

the DHCP server must be turned ON. If you remember, in the initiall install there was a step to start DHCP server.
If you start the DHCP server, should be ok.

DHCP is running.  I swapped the card for a 3Com 905 and the MD booted straight away.

So there would appear to be issues with the Rhine adapters.
