I stumbled across this project yesterday and have been reading up for hours.  I've been a MythTv user for a few years and set up Zoneminder a few months ago for a few IP camera.  This will be great to consolidate everything and have even more options.

My question is this.  I recently bought a cabinet humidor and I'm wanting to get a sensor that will monitor temperature and humidity in it.  The humidor itself has two 110 outlets in it (1 is needed for the humidifier - if there was a way to alarm me when the water level got low that would be even better) to make use of.  I tried searching the wiki and forum, but have not found much on what hardware I'll need to do this.  Thanks for helping a noob out.

My understanding is that you can use a small float switch connected to the input of a GC-100 to monitor if the water level dropped too low.  I'm not sure if there is something else in X10 or other powerline or RF device out there to do this or not.
