Remote issue

I have an IR Receiver/Blaster and remote that came with my Hauppage PVR 500. I have succeeded in getting the receiver set up. I have a Motorola STB for Time Warner cable. I have the STB set up and I have used the IR test code successfully control the STB. However, when using the remote, it does not change the channels on the STB. It shows the numbers that I press on screen but the channel doesn't change. It appears that the signal is not getting to the STP. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I checked the mythtv setup and the TuneToChannel.sh script is in there.

I can't get my MCE remote to work and rodercot suggested it doesn't work.  Maybe you are in the same boat
