I have two of the infamous Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150's with remotes, in their original box. Linux MCE Wiki: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-PVR-150_MCE

This seems to be one of the easiest to use and best supported capture cards for LinuxMCE. It is automatically detected by LinuxMCE.

Um, these are selling for 76.79 from RitzCamera with 6.95 shipping.  What about, say, 50 bucks?

These are analog cards so unless there is some fancy trick to get digital on them (doubtful), the answer is no.
