Hi Everyone,
Not sure if this is possible, but would be a nice feature.
I would like to be able to play a video in one room & use the follow me to play in some/all other rooms, including to audio only devices, like the Squeezebox. Would it be possible to send just the audio stream from the video to these devices?
Regards, Josh

I've been searching the net for the same answer, has anyone tried to send the audio from TV or a movie to a squeezebox? Was considering using one for the bathroom, don't really want to have to purchase another MD just to run 2 speakers in this room.
Any other solutions welcome. Matt

It would also be very useful for watching sporting events, as you could still hear the play-by-play.

I always listen to Sky News in the morning, would be great to be able to listen to it whilst I'm in the shower and getting ready for work. Thats my reason.

I very like this idea as well. Anyone knows what squeezebox uses for protocol? Maybe it's easy ... maybe not :-( I'm thinking to buy a Squeezebox, that's why I ask.

I think a doable way would be to utilize a media player that is capable to stream audio only and use that as the source for a "radio station" for the squeezebox
Definitly an interesting task

The Squeezebox server is already installed whenever LinuxMCE detects a Squeezebox.
