I have a Hauppauge WINTV NOVA-S PLUS which works fine as a dvb-s out of the box with mythtv.

This card also has analogue inputs (s-video, stereo minijack) which I now want to use. However when I run the linuxmce setup wizard the device is not detected as a 'capture card'.

Mythtv can see it and I have added it as a video source in the mythtv setup but I don't know how to access the analogue inputs under mythtv and can only access the dvb stream.

Do I need to add it as a device in linuxmce? Is it possible to add it manually in the admin section?

Got this working via mythtv. Just shows up as a new channel (well 69 new channels actually!). I'd missed out the scanning step.

Quality is not good via s-video and no sound yet so I will keep playing around. Answered my own question though.
