I purchase this usb tv stick because I read in the wiki that it was supported but I can't make it work.

Can someone please point me in the right direction where I can get info setting this up.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi fiero,

I saw this http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=7794.0

... if it's the same stick maybe you can exchange it.

thanks for the reply...I tried the instructions for that stick but didnot work for the wintv-hvr 950Q.

I also found this http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-950Q
and installed the firmware in /lib/firmware but when I plug in the stick its still not recognized .

Joe

I'm still trying to install the wintv hvr 950Q.  I've searched for info everywhere and cannot find anything more. It seems to be a driver/fw issue in linux since its not regognized but my linux skills are limited.
If anyone has any sugestions please reply. Mean while What should I get for a tv tuner that would be pnp on 710 and also be compatiblle with 810?

Thanks,
Joe

for an ATSC tuner, you just cant get any better than the HDHomeRun. network attached, 2 tuners, fully plug and play in both 0710 and 0810.
