Hello!
I'm totaly new to LinuxMCE, so this may be a stupid question; I want to connect my digital tv-tuner (STB) to the MD as described in the video (with s-video or other formats), but how do i connect the sound from the STB to the MD so i can record with sound (coax s/pdif)? Does anyone know about a good capture card that can do both s-video (or other formats) and sound.
Thanks...

Yes they can... see the Wiki http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-PVR-150_MCE

Gaute

As far as I know there is no way to use the pvr-150, 250, 350 or 500 card to capture s/pdif as they do not have any s/pdif inputs, Why not look at receiving the DVB signal directly instead of digitising it? Are these channels encrypted? Are they DVB-T, DVB-C or DVB-S?

almost all the channels are encrypted. It is DVB-T, and the provider do not support any methods fore decrypting on a computer.

Well one way around this may be to look at the Hauppauge HD-PVR. See here for info; http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_HD-PVR

However there is no support in LinuxMCE for this device yet and you will have to build the drivers etc yourself. But potentially this product does all you need I think.

All the best and happy new year.
