Just to make sure.. by open you mean load correct?
I load the arrlightsmain from the child tab of of the 1255 screen.
Then I select the child of arrlightsmain and load that correct?

So this is where I loose you...
I don't see the text properties.. can you be more specific as to where I should be looking for these properties?
------update-------
I may have figured it out. you are speaking of the 316 Array Description right?

Yes, look over in that area, and you will see the text properties light up, when you select it.

I'm trying to show you the relationship of the table and the fields you _can_ see in Designer.

If you look in StyleVariation, you'll then see the actual font, color, and size entries for BOTH a given skin (FK_Skin), and UI (FK_UI) variation.

Yes I do see that. I was able to load font into the browser and I see that it is Verdana.

Add a new row,

on this new row, make it look like the old rows, except set FK_Skin to the Skin # of your star trek skin in the Skin table.

Do this for all the styles you want to change, be sure to change the font name appropriately.

what if I replaced the old basic skin with my skin. I backed up the old one before but I moved the old basic folder out of the skins directory. Do I just change the current skin to the new font name?

Ok... I will go back after I am done and make it right.
I may have to review your screen cast about that again.

Question about font styles such as bold... I notice if I load bold into the browser there are 1's and 0's. If I do not want bold fonts can I change the 1's to 0's?

Check it out.  Cheesy

Now I just have to go back and rename my skin so it doesn't take over the basic... and then add the values in the database to make it right.

Thank you soo soo much for your help. This is just one of many ideas I have for new skins and I plan on doing many different themes.  I am using UI 1 on my main TV in my house just because I want my house... to be a star ship. ... galaxy class of course. I know its a dream, but one day I will have a space ship house.

as "nerdy" as the original idea sounded to me, I'm now very impressed!  This is an excellent and refreshing new look!

You should be applauded for your effort and desire to learn

Thank you, That really means a lot... But the real thanks goes to everyone on this forum who takes the time out of their busy day to pay attention to my constant questions about everything, especially Thom for taking the time to walk me though this process.
