Advanced -> Configuration -> device templates -> Haupage -> pvr-interfaces cards -> Pvr-150

Under the plug&play section

Create a new plug&play device duplicating everything but the Vendor Model ID .

Don't save just yet.

Now goto a console and issue the following commands
1.   mysql -uroot pluto_main

I'm pretty lost here.
First, my PVR 150 card shows up under, device category-> peripherals -> capture card.
Second, Under the plug&play section... Am I just duplicating the plug and play details or everything?  I'm not clear on why you specifically mentioned the plug&play section.

Did you try your card with some other software to be sure that it works? I spent some time to configure my DVB-S card. At the beginning it had wrong subsystem ID and I changed it. But the main problem was with tuner. It didn't work at all. So, I sent the card back to DVBShop (it was also new).

Yes, I have tested the card in other systems and it works fine.  I have 2 identical cards.  One is brand new.  It's not the cards.

I did get Tommy's suggestion to work.  However, I had an unrelated problem with the guide not getting data so I did a clean install and now can not get the card to 'detect' no matter what I try.  I'm very frustrated and want to like LMCE but I'm at my wit's end.  Is there ANYONE that can offer me so suggestion on where to check / edit config files or settings?

Hi, I am still working to get my card working. I am first trying to get it to work in the KDE environment to see if it works there before trying in LMCE.

Is this already working for you?

I am using some help from the ubuntu forum. This is the post:

I have a re 2 divco card.  I cheated a little as I was completing a new install and had nothing to lose by installing other systems.  I installed Mythbuntu 8.10 (as LinuxMCE is based in Kubuntu) to test my card.  i had huge problems at first until my Mythbuntu download was crupt.  I redownloaded had no poblem following the instruction from a thread in the ubuntu forums.  All work perfect.

I then tried the LinuxMCE path again following the Wiki for the kernel update and steps from http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=7284.msg45955#msg45955.

Also read through http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=616103 for all the driver and remote information required.

Just step through it all and all will be good.
I am a newbie to Linux and it all went well for me.  (I do recommend copy/paste against typing though.  I had huge problems until i learn cntrl +shift + c(copy) or v(paste) in the terminal)

Repost if you need more assistance.

Do me a favor thought.  Write down all the steps (idiots guide) that way we can sent to Thom and get him to make up one of the thingys that allow this to all happen automagically, or at least type in the steps to this thread so as to let other have the full answer  I havent learnt how to do them yet.

Cheers
