Network Interface config left over
« on: December 10, 2008, 10:18:42 pm »
I recently moved my linuxmce drive to a new system and have everything working bar internet/network the problem is that the old interface config still seems to be somewhere meaning the eth0 and eth1 are associated with hardware in the old system and the new system network cards are showing up as eth2 and eth3.

Anyone got an idea as to where I can sort this I've looked in web admin page and /etc/network/interfaces but no joy.

Sorry to answer my own question however I fixed it by editing the following.

change /etc/iftab to reflect new setup
change /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
