Hello All,

I have "removed" a whole host of TV channels using the Channel Editor in the MythTV Backend Setup (by unchecking the "Visible" option for each one that I do not want), and whilst the channels have removed themselves from the MythTV channel guide, they remain in the LinuxMCE channel list (which is the one that I use).

Is there something else that I have to do to remove them? Or is there another method entirely?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi purps,

Last time I checked, LMCE does not honor the visible flag, it lists every channel. Not sure if this has changed in the upcoming 810 version.

Thanks for the reply.

Can anybody else confirm this? Not that I don't trust you sambuca!  Smiley

it's quite correct. MythTV_Plugin needs to be patched.

Ok, cheers. Is there perhaps a file hiding somewhere that contains a list of all the TV channels, with the idea of modifying it?

If not, I could just move all of the unwanted channels to the end for now.

lmce periodically downloads the tvguide list from schedules direct and stores it in the database.

I haven't tested this, but you can modify your channel lineup on the schedules direct website and remove the channels from there.  I don't know if that will work though.
