Hi list!

This message I get every time:
I detected a new plug and play device: File Server (192.168.80.X) DCEROUTER(DCEROUTER)
Should I use it?

If I click on "No, ignore it this time", a couple of seconds later the message reappears with the next IP-Adress (X+1). It seems that the DCEROUTER recognizes itself as another server. I have two NICs:
eth0: configured via dhcp to 192.168.178.23, with a dhcp server on my router
eth1: configured manually to 192.168.80.1 with no cable connected
the dhcp server on linuxmce I disabled, I want to use linuxmce as a hybrid.

regards

Stephan

you're getting these messages because you haven't set up LinuxMCE as it was intended.

Please set it up correctly.

Thanks Thom, for the response,

since I didn't even wrote I real question, I suppose I have to be happy with your answer. However: My system is not set up as it was intended, right. That's what I guessed already ;-). But could someone please give me a hint, what I have to do or where I have to read again over the documentation to understand what to do? I'm completely lost.

Thanks in advance.

regards

You should read the FAQ, here:
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/FAQ

Maybe that will help. Smiley

The faq didn't help at all. Thom, why did you tell me to read the faq? I had to install Linux MCE again. Now it works.
