USB-UIRT
« on: November 26, 2008, 02:31:50 am »
I got my USB-UIRT installed today and it seems to be working as intended with LMCE, my question is does the USB-UIRT device allow you to use the original remote still without going through LMCE.
EX: I have my receiver (Sony) behind a cabinet door and the USBUIRT out in the open with emitters run to the Sony, will the device take the signal from my Sony remote and just pass it along through the emitters? I dont plan on doing this forever, just till I get the rest of my components installed and up and running with LMCE

No, the device doesn't do that. It will pass your commands to LMCE which can then do stuff. I guess you could get it to then send IR commands back to the USBUIRT and to the Sony like a repeater... not sure how tho!

cool, I was mainly just making sure that it wasn't just me. I will just wait till i get everything in place and let LMCE do the work.
