reading pics from photo camera

basically i want linuxmce to read my flashcard with the pics from my photo cam and copy them to the mce directory to a prefered file

All this i want to control within linuxmce with a remote control

You can't currently. Although similar feature requests have been logged for something similar in terms of music and mp3 players. I'm sure they will get addressed once more important core issues have been sorted out like 0810. In the meantime, just use KDE desktop normally to do this then switch back to the orbiter.
