Hi, I'm running into problems with getting my USB Web Cam working.
The webcam install works using the motion wrapper but no pictures shows up.

The camera works on my gentoo box using the 'linuxuvc' driver. Linuxmce does have linuxuvc installed but the log says:
Oct 18 14:15:12 dcerouter : [1] No mmap falling back on read
 Oct 18 14:15:13 dcerouter :
  • Processing thread 0 - config file /etc/motion/motion.conf
Oct 18 14:15:13 dcerouter :
  • Processing config file /etc/motion/thread0.conf
Oct 18 14:15:13 dcerouter : [1] Thread is from /etc/motion/thread0.conf

Motion can only read this camera using the 'mmap' method, hence no picture. So far things make sense.

Why does mmap not work? Any ideas?
