adding USB network cards to small mobos for second nic ?

Hi,

I have a small core with only one PCI slot (video surveillance card takes it). Since I'd like to run core with two network cards, I'd kindly as k if anyone has experience on USB network cards with linux or yet bettter LMCE... Which work ok with LMCE ?

I'm using a usb  dongle on external net with no problems so far,
" moschip semiconductor" usb-mac controller,
sorry, link I had no longer works,but it was advertised as being linux compat. For me it was plug and play

I work with various Linux servers as well as windows and Mac workstations and I carry a Linksys 10/100 dongle (USB100M) around with me and I have needed to use this in various situations (many times to allow a customer to remotely access their box that the kernel couldn't find the on-board NICs).  I have yet to find an OS that did not recognize this device "out of the box".  I, of course, haven't tried it with LMCE but I would imagine it would work well for you.

I have a Trendnet, $15 USB 10/100 adapter that I use on occasion. It was cheap, and LMCE uses it plug and play.
