Is there an easy way to configure a machine to diskless boot from the core to the kubuntu desktop, requiring a login and using using the core resident /home directories for each user?

The Personal Computing section describes that the only way to do this is to navigate to the desktop after first starting the media director. This way does not require a login. I recall however that this is an option when setting up a core. I'd like to do the same thing for diskless clients.

Thanks

You could probably try something similar to this: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Clean_Core, allthough there is no grub on a diskless MD so you'll have to skip those parts and set the default runlevel to what you want.
