Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm only one to see this problems.

if I do
Code:

moon5:~# modprobe -v saa7134
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.15-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134.ko oss=1 dsp_nr=1 mixer_nr=1 card=7 tuner=10 oss=1 dsp_nr=1 mixer_nr=1 card=39  oss=1  oss=1 dsp_nr=1 mixer_nr=1 card=2 tuner=5
FATAL: Error inserting saa7134 (/lib/modules/2.6.15-pluto-1-686/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

The problem is where do all these parameters come from ?  I have deleted all files in /etc/modprobe.d/saa7134* , rebooted, but parameters keep appearing....

Any advice ?

Thanks in advance,

regards,

rob.

We talked about this with Radu :
Quote
radu_c_public: hi. I have this forum topic: http://plutohome.com/support/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=624&highlight= and I remember that you found out something about it. What was it?
Rob: two things:
Rob: 1. even if I changed the name in modprobe.d it seems like modprobe sucks info from all files in that directory...
Rob: so I keep only one file with whose parameters in it
Rob: 2. Radu in previous release made copy from main /etc/modules to all MDs, so same modules were loaded on all MDs - he corrected that ...
Rob: will post those findings...

HTH,

regards,

Rob.
