Update on Blu-Ray playback on Ubuntu

I just came across this article:

for playing HD-DVD and Blu-Ray discs on Ubuntu 8.10 and was wondering what peoples thoughts on it was?

I would love to be able to do this and thought it might be possible to write a script that calls the various parts of this decryption in order depending on what was required.
