The 2.6 install fails to detect my ide controller.  I tried the 2.4 kernel the cd was detected but install bombed shortly there after.  Is there another way to install other than cd.  I have a USB harddrive.  I can boot the system on a knoppix debain 2.6 disk with no problem.  Network install maybe.  The system is loaded already with FC4/mythtv but I recently installed a blackbird tuner and after several days gave up trying to get it to work.  I'd like to give Pluto a try but can't seem to get around the ide issue.

Thanks,
Brian

Messages log shows segmentation fault after "modprobe ide-generic".  I attempted to load the 2.4 kernel and although the cdrom was detected it stop with "failed to load libc6-udeb" .  I verified cd in another pc.

Having the same problem, tried replacing cd-rom, burning image from another computer/cd-rom, I get about 20% into the installation, and then the message will come up and I have to reboot.

I tried replacing the drive too before finding it was the IDE controller it was having issues with.  Here is dmesg from working Fedora Core load.

On a side note. I registered to this site and can log in but any attempts at reaching the message boards results in the following error:

Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/pluto-support/pluto_header.php on line 301
