Re: Question Pertaining to MCE USB remote
« Reply #1 on: July 17, 2008, 02:00:44 pm »
I'm trying to configure my Windows MCE USB2 remote to use the "More" button as a way to change tv tuners in Myth while watching television.  I normally use the Y button on my keyboard, but that's kind of annoying.  I was given the following lirc code from someone on the Ubuntu Forum, but I don't know where in LMCE I need to put it.   Can someone let me know where the code needs to be placed?

The info you have is for LIRC and if I'm not mistaken, LMCE doesn't use LIRC in the same way MythBuntu does.

When I was trying to get my MCE Transceivers to work, I did stumble across a post that talked about setting up LIRC and the configs.

I believe you may find some relevant information here:

http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=4901.msg28630#msg28630

and here:

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Add_support_for_new_remote_controls

But for the 'stock' configuration, I'm not sure if that's the correct way to try and remap the MCE keys. I'd be interested in hearing how you make out.
