INTEL D945GCLF, Atom 230 (1.6 GHz), i945GC out now - compatability?

 Agreed, Jean! brought this too the forum a couple weeks back and Anand has a very good review of it on his site as well. I cannot believe my supplier though. I am just not willing to spend 400$ on a box that will be 250$ in a month when other dealers have stock on them locally. BUT I really want to put one in the kitchen on the back of an LCD in the corner.  SO COOOOL.

So far testing looks very promising on the D945GCLF. The AVwizard needs some changes to configure the GMA950 correctly but thats no big deal.

Video performance under UI2 + Overlay is excellent.

I've purchased mobo and setup small PC with it... But have all sorts of problems - I'd kindly ask if you can reveal your tricks to get this board working ok...

- I can't poweroff properly (have already tried noapic noacpi that usually help)...
- I can reliably run only UI1 (ui2 with transparency gives me a lot of flashing, UI without transparency freezes after few minutes)...

Bulek - i believe I have read that the Intel 945 chipset causes the photo screen saver to crash the machine and you can resolve this by disabling the pss (I assume you just use the disable button in the DCE device)

Certainly my Dell laptop uses that chipset and froze after a few minutes each time (I haven't tried the pss solution tho)
