Screen getting croped
« on: July 10, 2008, 02:14:35 am »
When I go to the KDE desktop the sides are trimmed off all around. Bit of the top, both sides, and bottom are cut off so that I only see part of the kicker and never the close window 'x' on window title bars.

The MCE interface is fully visible and playing media seems fine. I am hooked up to the tv via s-video and would like to have a full desktop view for web browsing/setting up torrents/games/etc. A point in the right direction would be much appreciated :)

Hi,

Sounds like you've got the wrong resolution setup.

What kind of TV do you have?  If it is a standard CRT type your resolution should be 640x480.

If this is what you have set then look at your var/log/Xorg.0 to see which mode is valid.

Or you can change your etc/X11/xorg.conf file to improve your resolution.

Cheers.
