NVIDIA MX Card told Composite yet sticks to VGA.
« on: July 07, 2008, 01:56:56 pm »
I have an NIVIDA MX forget actual MX number, but it required the 96.43.xx Legacy drivers.

It has an S-Video, Composite, and VGA port on it, and I told it to the A/V Wizard to use Composite yet all Video is going through VGA still.

I tried doing it two times in case it screwed up the first time.

Please do not use the NVIDIA GeForce MX-4xx series cards, they are horribly old and underpowered.

Not to mention, NVIDIA changed the driver methods for switching video outputs, after this card was produced. Does anyone have a fix for this that we can apply?

Dang, I wish I knew that, I only got the card about two years ago, and it was in new condition. My friend had a bunch, and they didn't appear like cheap cards, I mean having S-Video and Composite Outs as well as VGA, but I guess looks can really be deceiving.

i'm sorry, bro.

That card doesn't seem to have composite out but I guess I can always convert it with a converter that I found online at newegg.

That is not a card but a chipset, there are many different cards with that chipset, including ones with composite out.  I know this because I have one.
