I'm planing to install a linuxMCE set for the my new house . Lots and lots of questions ....  Shocked

Start with the first one .
1. Can I connect multiple TV cards on the core ?
I plan to have one for the Cable TV , one for my satellite another one for the new HDTV (different contents)

2. Would I be able to share them on Media Directors ? Would people be able to use the same card watching different channels at the same point of time ?

Thanks in advance ....

1. Yes you can. Read through the wiki which ones are supported. HDTV card may or may not work. You have to do some research before you can get HD card to work properly.

2. If you choose mythtv instead of vdr as your tv app for lmce your can have it working on your MDs too. The same functionality is in testing stage for vdr at the moment.

Regarding card sharing. Its in a legal grey area. ITīs technically possible. You have to do some research on your own regarding card-sharing.

Re Question 2 - I think Albert was referring to sharing the TV stream(s) from a given card with Multiple MD's... in which case the answer is yes you can do that.
