Custom Partition with DVD Install
« on: July 05, 2008, 10:32:57 am »
I have a slightly older system that has trouble addressing large volumes. This shows up when /boot is on such a volume, causing GRUB to freak out. To deal with this in past projects, I've just made a ~100MB /boot partition and gone on with my day, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that with the 710 RC2 DVD, since everything is so automated. Any suggestions?

You cannot partition with the DVD install it uses the whole drive automagically. Unless somethings changed you will need to do the cd install.

I'll give the CDs a try, and see what comes of it. Thanks!
