Hello like so many others I want linuxmce as my home automation system.

But I need a comprehensive list of manufacturers and hardware options supported by product
Where can I find this?

For example:

LINUXMCE Compatible Wall Switches
              Type 1
                      brand 1
         brand 2

Tschak is working on just this type of database. I agree, it would be a great reference to use while shopping for devices

I am working on one. There is no tree structure, everything is flat-tagged.

I am currently working on it, and testing it amongst the people in the IRC channel.
