How does one get SSH access to the core from the outside?
Is it a firewall setting?
I can run the admin website from the external network just fine, and have setup dyndns.

Go to the Outside access section of the Wizards in the web admin, there is a checkbox, to turn on outside access via port 22.

No that didn't work.

I added a firewall rule port 22 to 22 core input. Voila

Thanks anyway

Sorry about that, we use Remote Assistance (which uses an SSH tunneling mechanism) so we typically don't open port 22 directly.

whats the verdict on this one then?  i select the "enable" button (remote assistance) on admin site but the process never finishes & port is never opened.  i'm sure there's a way to do it but i dont want to break anything in the process by forcing it.  i'm trying to ssh tunnel for access to dcerouter but if there's a recommeded method i'm open to it.  Thanks in advance!  Wink

depending on  your setup, you may have to set up port forwarding in your modem/router for port 22 as well
