Can't write to HD!

I have been trying to resolve this for 3 days I have had all the guys I work with (I work in IT) look at it an all have given suggestions but none work. I just built a new box using a AN-M2HD board and it installed flawlessly everything works great but I also bought two 750GB drives for storage but I cant write to either of them I have used both gparted and qtparted I have created new partion tables and formated using EXT3 and then I have to reboot to even see them in dolphin and when I try to add any thing to them it tells me failed at he bottom of the window in a yellow bar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
