Hi,

I have been using an XBOX with XBMC to stream all my media from a NAS drive wired on my network. The xbox is fantastic for this it plays all the media I download streamed over the network. I mostly use it to listen to audio files, like ape, flac, wv, mp3, ogg, mpc etc. I also use it to watch xvid, divx moives with the ac3 audio format. It works a treat. The trouble is it struggles with HD content. Hence my search for a new box that will do all the above plus run HD downloads etc. Im looking at the fiire box running linuxMCE.

My question is this. Will the fiirebox & linuxMCE play all the files I mention above from my NAS drive natively out the box?

thanks

Yes. Although don't buy a Fiire box. A quick search on the forums will lead you to the massive amount of trouble everyone has been having with them.
