Hey all, I just posted a video on youtube that shows some of the features of linuxmce.  I don't use any home automation, but just wanted to show a less biased look at it.

my first video is about the features.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPWzLtsvw-U

I've also made 2 other videos which I am uploading now, but are taking a long time.  They are about

2.) building your own linuxmce rig

and

3.) my installation issues

I'll post the links as soon as they are done uploading.

May I suggest disabling auto-focus on the camera?  It was a little distracting.

Also you might want to use some of the LMCE terminology, like "on-screen orbiter".  Just simple like, "and here we display the on screen orbiter which lets you control the LMCE system..."  Your target is the uninitiated, so dropping some of the basic terminology with show and tell definitions may help.

You might want to mention that there are other supported orbiters than the fiire.

Maybe add a title screen with www.linuxmce.org on it.  Smiley

Have fun,
Roy

nice work - i enjoyed the video.  i agree that disabling the autofocus on your next video may look better.

I use a Nokia N800, but if you go to pluto admin, Wizards, Devices, Orbiters, then look in the combo-box next to the "Add Orbiter" button at the bottom, there are several others...   Smiley
