I'm using an external usb sound card and I get sound from it.  I choose to use analog stereo during setup.  Well, sound is coming out, but I can't change the volume level. When I go into the kubuntu desktop, the mixer icon says that it is trying to control PCM of "Usb Audio".  For this particular device, it needs to be set to "Speaker 1".  So, I change the default mixer channel, but linuxmce still won't change.  So, I try rebooting and find that linuxmce defaults back to PCM.

Does anyone know how to make LMCE control channel "Speaker 1" and to retain this on boot?
