Hello,
I have some problems with using the internet on the MD's. I have an AMD64 core/hybrid running 0710RC1 Amd64 bit version. My MD is also an AMD64 machine. Everything works well on both machines, like audio, video, mythv, but when I go to KDE destop on the MD and try to surf the net(firefox), it takes a very very long time to even get a basic web page to display; we are talking about minutes to get to this page. This problem is only when using the internet on the MD, when using the internet on the core/hybrid it works fine.
I used the DVD installer. The core motherboard and the MD both have Gigabit connections.
Is there a setting I am missing or are others also having this problem?
Thanks

does it take the time to resolve the address before displaying the page?
or is the time taken in rendering the page?
what is the output of ifconfig on the MD?

-Coley.

Problem solved. For some resasn i had the external network card hooked up wrong. I have taken the wireless router out inbetween the modem and the core (going straight from core to the modem the way it says in the Wiki) and it works fine.
Thanks
