I recently purchased the N75, and came to find out that LMCE doesn't currently support Symbian 60 v3 phones.  I read a post saying that you can use an Iphone as a Web Orbiter. I'm still within the 30 day period for returning my N75, so I was considering upgrading to the Iphone. I wanted to know if there's any chance that Pluto will support S60 v3, or should I just get the Iphone?

Thanks

You can only use the web control with the iPhone as of know. That MAY change in future. I'm not sure that's what you're trying to do. I have an iPhone (don't use it with MCE) but would recommend it Smiley

Your N75 should work with the J2ME based orbiter that Hari has developed/is developing.

I'm hoping to use the Nokia as mobile orbiter/remote control, but my phone was having trouble recognizing the software file sent to my phone via Bluetooth.  I haven't tried doing it in beta 4, so I'll give it another shot, and post back with any updates.

Your phone won't recognise the s/w, its for the previous s60 revision. As mentioned by darrenmason Hari has a JavaMO in development. It requires a bit more action on your part to get it up and running. Check out the instructions in http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=2893.msg27035#msg27035 and a few msgs later in the same thread for the jar file needed to be installed on your phone.

No luck.  I'm not sure what went wrong, but I can't get my Nokia to work.

did you transfer the jar and the jad to the phone?
did you select the jad from the file manager?
did you enable installing unsigned applications?

my crystal ball broke last week so I only can help if you put together a sane error report.

best regards,
Hari

My bad. Sad   I guess in my exuberance, I missed a step.  I don't have the jar or jad files.  I will make sure to follow all the steps before posting anymore vague errors.

Thanks.
