It would be really nice to have support built in for the Microsoft IR MCE keyboard. I recently purchased the keyboard with the remote. All the remote functions on the keyboard work but the actual keys and mouse pointer do not. I found some drivers on the ubuntu forums but I cannot seem to get them to compile correctly. (mostly user error) I am sure I am not the only one that would like to use of this keyboard.
I would be willing to offer some compensation.

hi all,
I'd like to support this request,
the ability to fully control Lmce/browse web etc, from the comfort of a recliner/sofa rather than digging out the mouse /keyoard would take the end user experience to a new level  - (a 46" screen from 3-4 foot is fairly demanding over a prolonged period ,for example, when installing /researching problems etc , imho.) - allthough I appreciate that there is a difficulty with text over IR  ? (something  I read in passing somewhere in Dev forum),
regards,
Ian
