hey,

im a complete noob to the world of linux mce and would like to ask for some help if i may.

i currently have a dual boot system on the go with 2 XP's and would like to install a copy of linux mce on a fresh partition ive made on one off my disks. my question is this, if i install linux mce from boot up will it mess with my XP settings in any way? (ie, booting, file structure etc.)

ive done countless amounts of searching but cant seem to find the answers iam after.

all help greatly appreciated and thanx for your time Cheesy

If you go for a CD install you can partition your harddisk as you like and install GRUB/LILO to load into the OS you want. The DVD-install wipes your harddisk!!

BUT one major feature with LMCE is to have it act as your router, so I would strongly recommend to use it as a dedicated system (i.e. have the core on a separate pc).
